St Columba Hotel
Accommodation

The accommodation for 45 people consists of 12 twin rooms, 2 double rooms, 9 single rooms and 4 family rooms with a double and single bed. Two of our twins can be made up as king size doubles. All rooms have private bath and/or shower rooms. For a detailed description of all of the rooms we have please click here. The hotel has a Restricted Hotel Licence which enables us to serve wine and spirits to our residents and to non-residents with meals.

Comfortable sun lounges and a restaurant provide the most glorious views, in ever changing colours and moods, over the Sound of Iona to the Ross of Mull and the mountains beyond. There is a lot of weather on Iona (!), and during inclement weather you can simply sit and watch the unfolding drama in warmth and comfort. A log fire warms the heart of the inner lounge. There is no television in the hotel, however we do have wireless internet for your laptop or you can make use of our internet room. There is a guest telephone box and some mobile networks have excellent cover. Phone us for the latest information on your network!

Originally built as a Manse in 1846 and since extended, the hotel stands on rising ground to the North of the village, but less than a quarter of a mile from the jetty. Our land adjoins the famous Abbey and the ancient Reillig Oran Chapel.

Children are most welcome. High Tea for young children can be provided at 6 pm by request. Special terms are available for children sleeping in a Z-bed or a cot in the parent’s room. Dogs are welcome for a small charge per stay.
