The accommodation for 45 people consists of 9 single rooms, 4 double rooms, 11 twin rooms and 3 family rooms with a king size and a single bed. Two of our twins can be made up as king size doubles. All rooms have private bath and/or shower rooms. For a detailed description of all of the rooms we have please click here. The hotel and restaurant are fully licenced with a wide range of local ales, malt whiskies, other spirits and a varied wine list.
Comfortable sun lounges and a restaurant provide the most glorious views, in ever changing colours and moods, over the Sound of Iona to the Ross of Mull and the mountains beyond. There is a lot of weather on Iona (!), and during inclement weather you can simply sit and watch the unfolding drama in warmth and comfort. An open fire warms the heart of the inner lounge. There is no television in the hotel, however WiFi is provided free of charge to guests and customers, and we have one public access computer. Mobile phone coverage varies depending on the network, please contact us for more information.
Originally built as a Manse in 1846 and since extended, the hotel stands on rising ground to the North of the village, but less than a quarter of a mile from the jetty. Our land adjoins the famous Abbey and the ancient Reilig Oran Chapel.
Children are most welcome. High Tea for young children can be provided at 6 pm by request. Special terms are available for children sleeping in a Z-bed or a cot in the parent’s room. Dogs are welcome for a small charge per stay.
