Waiter / Waitress

We currently have a vacancy for a Waiter / Waitress (General Assistant) for the 2023 season, starting on the 20th of March and finishing at the start of November. The post is 'live-in' position, with food and accommodation provided, (a small deduction is made from wages to cover the cost).

The right candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and have good communication skills and attention to detail. As part of the role, you'll be expected to perform all aspects of restaurant work, from waiting tables and taking orders to doing the dishes and keeping the place clean. We require a high level of customer care from all our staff, and the ability to remain calm under pressure is an essential skill. Previous experience of waiting in a busy restaurant of bar would be a significant advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity to live and work in a beautiful and unique place. You will be expected to work 5 days out of 7 and will have paid holidays during the season – so plenty of time to explore the island and the surrounding area!

Receptionist / Waiter

We currently have a vacancy for a Receptionist / Waiter for the 2023 season, starting on the 21st March and finishing at the start of November. The post is a 'live-in' position, with food and accommodation provided, (a small deduction is made from wages to cover the cost). For role will be a mixture of reception and restaurant shifts, with the balance of these likely to change from week to week depending on how busy we are, staff holidays, etc..

The right candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and have good communication skills and attention to detail. We require a high level of customer care from all our staff. Good computer skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are also essential skills. One of the roles of the receptionist is to meet guests arriving off the ferry, and so you must be able to drive our car (have had a full driving licence for at least 2 years, and be at least 8 years past the minimum age for driving in the UK).
