The St Columba Hotel is owned by a group of locals, former islanders and individuals with a close connection to Iona. So you can be sure of the warmest welcome. We want you to experience the Iona we know and love. So whether you want to spot wildlife, find an awe-inspiring walking route or simply the best place to watch the waves crash you only have to ask.
The Quiet Garden
Iona offers a sense of freedom and tranquility that is becoming increasingly hard to find in today’s world. Built within the hotel grounds you’ll find the Quiet Garden. The space is designed to be one of peace and meditation. Sit awhile, rest your mind, and soak up the spellbinding views.
Organic Garden
Our award-winning organic garden provides fresh seasonal produce for the St Columba Hotel kitchen and for sale in our shop The Larder.
Certified by the Soil Association since 2008, this is a working garden that produces seasonal flowers, fruit, vegetables, salad leaves, and honey. It also produces the various botanicals used in our exclusive St Columba spirit range.
The garden is open to the public to enjoy, so feel free to come in and explore.
St Columba Larder
The Larder is situated directly across from the hotel. Inside you will find an array of carefully sourced artisan products from around Scotland as well as take-away refreshments.
