Thresholds of Hope & Creativity: A Pilgrimage of Spiritual Practice
Saturday 12th – Saturday 19th September 2026
You are invited to join Cami Twilling, Director of Earth & Soul, for a pilgrimage week of spiritual practice rooted in Celtic wisdom through the teachings of John Philip Newell in which we explore the thresholds we are in the midst of today – as a world, as nations and religious traditions, and as individuals. Mornings will begin with meditation and silent prayer. Each day we will walk to a particular place on the island to share in a spiritual practice that invites listening, creativity and imagining the way forward together. We each carry deep wisdom within just as Earth holds deep wisdom for us to draw on. Evening rituals will include tai-chi like movement as a way of connecting with our bodies, grounding down into Earth and opening to the cosmos. Our breakfast and evening meals are communal. There will be free time each day for hiking, conversation, and rest.
How do we sustain ourselves in times of change and be strengthened to live more compassionately in the world? This pilgrimage of spiritual practice is an invitation to move deeper, paying attention to the wisdom we carry within as well as listening to the wisdom Earth holds for us. Small group reflection and sacred listening will be an integral part of our time together.
May our time together lead to a deeper awareness of Earth and the human soul and how we are being called to reawaken so that we may live and act with compassion.
